Blackwood Contracting was founded by owner/operator Darcy McCracken in 2021 with the vision to expand his ever growing business. With over 18 years experience in the trades, he has predominantly worked as a custom carpenter on custom designed homes. He brings a plethora of knowledge from the residential side of construction and renovations. He holds his Journeyman ticket, and Red Seal as a Journeyman Carpenter.
Darcy is known for his precision to his craft, his enthusiasm for taking on new challenges, and his passion for custom work. Born and raised in Airdrie, Alta, he has resided in Calgary for 8 years with his fiance Charlotte, daughter Olivia and their 2 dogs Crowley and Dolly.
